“And when it was disclosed that the FBI was violating citizens’ rights repeatedly, a high official of the FBI was asked if anybody in the FBI questioned the legality of what they were doing. He replied: “No, we never gave it a thought.”

When we say, “It happened” our mind becomes historian and we look back. We attend to that information stored in our mind as “back there.” Our society assigns historians to track it, lawyers to overseee the legal precidents established, accountants to track the business that “happened.” We honor our societal “traditions” or we rebel against them. A decadent society fails to pass on to the next generation the life enhancing aspects of the past. –
